I agree with the majority, strong VF details with some unfortunate damage in the obverse field and a possibility of an old cleaning. There seems also to be a scratch across Liberty's head that makes it look like she's wearing a blindfold. Curious!
Does anyone know whether this coin has a Type 1 or Type 2 reverse? I thought the Type 2 has the top crossbar of the E in ONE far from the wheat ear (like this coin) while the scarcer Type 1 has the crossbar almost touching the wheat. Is this correct, or do I have it reversed, or is there another diagnostic? I have an 1877-CC with the E almost touching the wheat and the difference between my coin and the OP's dime is fairly obvious. Here's the reverse of my dime:
