Very nice set, Bekiz. That's really not an unreasonable premium for the African Wildlife series. Well done!

@ Bekiz Does japan have a 1oz pure bullion coin that symbolizes Japan? like the maple or the ASE? I've looked and looked and all I can find are a slew of 92.5% coins. Most are beautiful but looking fo that 1 that represents Japan and is pure silver.

officially no.
But here is Fujimint Mint which has minted several rounds (not legal tender) which I showed the pictures of somewhere on the forum. Mintage is very low - 2012 ea. and the price straight from Fujimint was pretty high - around 10000 yen (more than 120 USD)
I've sold two awhile ago for $110 each.

oh, my bad, they sell one for 12800 yen (about $150) http://www.fujimint.com/Shop/shop_v...asp?Num=2219
I've seen another round selling lower though ... with the same mintage but different design

Sam, issues of pandas years 1983, 1984, 1985 sell for less than on ebay.

the ones I have I've got mostly as a bunch deals on auction with bad pictures ending during a workday. If it is sold separately than the price is even higher than on ebay ... I'm for one selling slabbed pandas in Japan time to time for a pretty good profit.

As of other chinese commemoratives they are cheaper here than on ebay including some rare issues.
