I just found a $50 polymer bank note from circulation today with this serial #: AHS7777722. I'm just wondering if this is what's called a radar note? A repeater? I thought I would ask the experts in this forum. Thanks!

It's neither a radar or a repeater...

Radar is read the same way both backwards and forwards just like the word R-A-D-A-R (it's a pallindrome)

Repeater means that the numerals have some sort of repetitive pattern
AAAAAAA
ABABABA
ABCABCA
ABCDABC
AABBAAB...

This note is very close to a solid.. and if you got that one from the bank from a new bundle I'd always ask to see the one that's 55 down from that... would've been a full solid 7 and a good premium is paid for those.

A radar (or kayak) note would have the number read the same forward and backwards - 1234321. A repeater has the same sequence of #s repeated - 7777777 is a 1-digit repeater, 1231231 is a 3-digit repeater and 1234123 is a 4-digit repeater. So close!

Keeper.

It's a great poker hand and some would call it a binary.

But GEEZ! It has Five Lucky 7's.

And THAT is the best way to start a banknote collection... collect what you like...there's so much out there..

I love chartered banknotes but have narrowed my affinity towards banknotes that depict farm animals such as cattle, horses, pigs etc. somewhere on the mural... I dunno why.. it's just something I like.

AGcoinAU how many notes in your animal collection.
Since there are so many chartered notes that is a
good way to narrow it down.

The funny thing about this note is that I got it selling a coin that I no longer wanted! Now I have this note and extra $$$ to buy something else!

You have a lot to learn about numbers, if it ends in a 2 it's an 'Even' number ...

Sorry I had to do that but yes your even number is quite ODD nice deal and now you got something cool with out having to look for it or pay a premium... lucky 7 no doubt!

billfrak... at first I was trying to get a few BMO notes and at least one note from every bank that almalgamated with it....

Then I came across an international bank of canada $5 note that had some cattle on it.. and I just fell in love! It just depicts what life was like back then. To me it's art and a picture of history.
