Possibly a S-6, S-7, S-11, S-14. There are many Snow numbers with a bold repunched 7. Cant really see much else in the listing.

Thanks guys, it's a nice coin but not a wow coin. I went through a ton of Indians today looking for varieties.

Ive been working this series for a while with some great results. The varieties are starting to see more action like the VAMs in the $ series. ebay has become increasingly difficult to find rarer varieties on. You have to be very quick to win, and more people are looking. I have most of my luck at shows and at coin shops. There are some really cool varieties in the Indian Head cent series. I've done VERY well picking this series for varieties. I just picked an 1890 S-1 in very high grade and an 1869 S-1 in MS64RB. I have picked about a dozen "shallow N" 1871s, numerous 69/69s, 94 S-1s, 97 S-1s, 87 DDOs, 91 DDOs, 65 DDRs, 73 DDOs (I had all 4 graded... G Details, G4, G6, VG10). Cherrypicking has paid for a significant amount of my complete MS Indian Head cent collection. Anyone who can afford the $100 or so for Ricks attribution guide can easily get return on their investment very quickly.

Some of those keep eluding me, especially the big DDOs. 52Raymo--are you looking for Snow's books? Check out here I think he's focusing on electronic versions now.

I've seen the electronic versions but I still would like to find a book. I tried that Wiki page for the snow varieties but there are very few pics.

Once all the pictures go online, Snow's book sales will plummet.

I just wish he would do another printing of his all in one attribution guide.

Order his electronic copies. They come in 4 pdf documents. I have them on my iPad, and computer. They are really easy to use. I dont expect him to do any printings soon. I can only imagine the cost of printing these guides will send the cost of a book through the roof.

I spotted an 1887 DDO on the bay two nights ago in an auction. I got sniped in the last few seconds by at least two other people. It was not in very good shape and went for more than $20 for a VG coin. There are too many people doing this on ebay, which makes cherrypicking at good prices much more difficult. I did pick an 1860 pointed bust in MS64 that was in an old NGC holder, not attributed as such. That was the last big one I've gotten off of the bay.

Here is the 1860 Pointed Bust I picked on ebay......the last really good score I've had on ebay. Deals are out there if you are quick and you know what to look for. I had an offer for $1300 more than I paid on it.....it fits my set nicely and will probably not be sold anytime soon. I'm debating on whether to send it in for regrade/new slab. It is a nice prooflike and colorful example. Very attractive!

Went through a bunch of 1861's today looking for a S2-repaired ES in states, doubled die obverse.....found one but the price is too high and I thought maybe one of you guys might want it. Looks to have been messed with too. http://www.ebay.com/itm/36090880425....m1436.l2648

Raymo, Nice spot! I agree that "choice unc" is a real stretch--I'd say AU details w/hairlines and discoloration. Not sure what I would offer for it--I'd take a problem-free VF over that coin, but I'm cheap that way.
