I recently purchased this coin from a co-worker. Prior to buying, I looked at it under a 30X microscope for about 1 hr. The S location is correct for one of the 4 possible locations (lowest S location). Also, the S has a small dot inside the top curve of the S. The VDB is weak and the middle line in the B is difficult to see clearly, but it does go up at an angle. So I am convinced it is authentic. Well, I had a grade in mind when I purchased it, just wondering what you all think?

There are certainly collectors with enough knowledge to authenticate this coin ... alas I am not one of them and hopeful that you are.

Appears authentic from my limited knowledge ... I'm in at F12/F15 ... but not an expert opinion.

Lovely example of a rare key-date coin.

F-12 seems right although F-15 wouldn't surprise me.

I think the picture or scans are flooded and the obv looks like there is not very much definition. The reverse wheats look awful strong for a Fine grade. I'm in the VF range. nlp

I have to agree with nlp coins. I think it grades VF-20 maybe VF-25 with the right graders.

With that obverse, it should be a Fine. But key dates are often overgraded so who knows. Nice pickup!
