Here is another penny I found over the last few weeks. This is my first huge die crack I have found, and my be one of my more favorite coins   Are die cracks on this series common, I thought I read that they were? what value might this coin have? Cheers |

Ace, now that's a die crack, I would think this one would be worth a small premium to the right person, nice visibility without a loupe.

The George VI strikes seem to be rich in die cracks, and not just the 1-cent denominations (we all know the Hoof/9 in 50-cent coins). Here is mine, which is not quite as impressive as yours, but still through the fields and devices. I love die cracks! I think they add to the coin, but it's a matter of opinion, I guess.

When I saw the title, I was ready to see a planchet flaw mistaken for a crack, but that's really a nice broken retained die!
