I have a 2006 nickel that appears extremely bronze/copper in color. I have compared this with another 2006 nickel I have and it appears normal/silver in color. Could this copperish nickel be a rare mistake that might have some value to it?
Nickels do contain 75% copper/25% Nickel. I've noticed a few that look like that from time to time. Usually they are dull finished. I always thought they were tampered with. But don't know for sure what you have with no image. But the description sounds right.
Or... It could be a Nickel struck on a plated Cent planchet with that color. I guess the three things that would determine that would be weight/thickness/details cut off. https://www.coincommunity.com/forum...KEL_1967.jpg But again images would help.
