Question About Getting Rolls From The Local Bank.

As long as your a member of the bank there won't be any fees. If they do ask for a fee (big or small) simply tell them "no thanks" and go to another bank.

$50 will get you two boxes of pennies. The coins will likely be a nice mix of circulated Lincolns dating sometimes as far back as the teens. Indian head pennies are not unheard of, though don't set your hopes to high. It seems like most people usually find around a dozon wheats and a nice amount of 1960-somethings every box, as well as a few Canadians.

Once your finished searching the pennies simply bring them back and get some more. Try to use to seperate banks--one to get the coins and one to dump them at. Don't use the same bank to get and dump...its makes the tellers mad (understandably) and you'll end up searching the same coins over and over! If there is a Commerce Bank in your area, be sure to take advantage of their free CoinStar machine, its free even for non-customers.

Good advice here....and I might add if you are a regular at a certain branch and the tellers know you, they will go out of their way to order boxes for you (as long as you dont dump back into the same branch). One even told me that there was another guy also doing half dollars two boxes every week so I steered away from doing that for now. For my dump bank, I opened a savings account at a credit union that has a self service coin counter. It works great but they must think I am nuts for having brought in so many pennies over the last few days (they keep having to change the bags out).
