The right side looks like a lamination error due to the cracks above and below the edge as well as part of the left. The area in a direct line below the left edge has some interest too. Could this have been struck through tape? I have not personally seen either, but I have seen many photos. Nothing says multiple errors can not occur at once. Maybe the tape was peeled and pulled off lamination weakened during the strike. This is of course speculation, but it seems the image is more distorted than I would expect for just lamination being loose when struck.

Thank you ErrorCoins for expounding upon my thought. I couldn't take it to that level of depth but I recognised it as a lamination error.

Sorry all. It looked like it was in a 2x2 to me. Can we get full coin pics. The rim damage has me puzzled. It does for sure look intriguing. If it is indeed an error I recommend putting it in an Air-Tite holder.

Looks a little too "clean" IMO to be a lamination. Sure is unusual.

I think a good part of the lamination occurred before strike. That would account for the weaker devices along the rim as well. Thank, Doug.

edit: to fix a typo above that bothers me.
adding: the weaker devices along the rim show on both obverse and reverse but, more so on the reverse.

It's a lamination error. Some of the metal peeled off before the strike (the area around IN GOD), while most of it peeled off after the strike.

Chase007,
Now you need to get it into an Air-Tite.
