I started collecting them the last month. It's sad that they seem to be ignored but I guess that works out better for me.

Amazon 99, yes I collect clad Washingtons. I have two sets, one from circulation and one uncirculated, including the S mint proofs. I am almost finished with the uncirculated ones. And I must say that contrary to my expectations, they make a handI also have an almost complete set of the silver Washingtons. NOT unirculated, but mostly EF or better. Two to go in the silver set. Not the two you probably think, but the 36-D and the 37-S. Just haven't gotten around to getting them yet. THe clads from circulation are not particularly hard, you just have to look. ( of course, no S mint proofs from circulation) In the clads, uncirculated, the 82 and 83 are the "biggies" not for the faint of heart when you buy them. They are not particularly bad, but paying in the double digits for modern clad coinage takes a little courage. I think the 86-D is also above the average price for the clads, but don't know why. Presumably the reason for the 82 and 83 is that the mint did not make mint sets those two years and collectors forgot to put aside an adequate supply of uncirculated for those two years. Anyway, enough from me. Good luck. Keep us posted. Sincerely, Ron H.

I have an album (includes earlier silver dates of which I have very few) but have been focusing more on cents and nickels right now. I intend to fill the quarter album when I am done with the other two. I've been setting aside all my quarters and will have quite a job going through them when I finally get around to it.

I have a 1932~1998 collection completed (date/mint with clad & silver proofs). I started the clad collection in 1980 and it all came from circulation. I was able to fill 1965~1985 by 1985, and then collected them year-by-year after that. In the 90's, I started adding the silver and proofs when I bought a new Dansco Washington quarter album (8140) to replace the Dansco Quarter album (7137) the clads were in. Many of the first proofs in the album came by breaking apart my proof sets! I completed the 1932~1964 silver portion and all proofs (to date) in 1997, just before the SHQ craze!

I have a Dansco 1932-1998 Washington album and I am currently working on completing the silver issues in AU/MS(except for 32D&S and 36D ) and I am 3/4 of the way there. After that I will tackle the clad issues, probably getting them by cherrypicking mint sets as that would be the easiest source for better quality clads. I do have a few in there that I already owned(three SMS issues, bicentennials, and a couple other scattered dates) but I have not actively acquired any yet.

I have sets from circulation and another in BU/PR. Unsurprisingly a lot of my varieties came from circulation and they're with the BU/ PR.
My circulation set represents a lot of work since every coin is a nice attractive specimen in at least XF though a couple might be high end VF. The set was started in 1997.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

I have a complete set of Wash, FDR and JFK clads, most of which were picked from circulation trying to get the best I can. I mostly have EF or better for all of them. I don't hoard the extra clads; I dump the rest back into circulation.

Whitman Has 65-87 and 88-2000. I'm four quarters shoet of filling the first from circulation, and 11 needed for the second. although some of the State Quarters I'm short I have in a Harris album for State Quarters only.

I just started by going through my change. I got the "rare" ones on my first sweep (68D and 69D). I need 91D from the second album and a about 7 from the 65-87 album

I have a complete set of 65-present from circulation. I also have a random selection of mint and proof sets that I will (someday) get around to filling in. My pre-65 set is much spottier but I've started working backwards from 1964, selecting the best MS coins I can afford. I'm in the early 50's now and am not looking forward to the expense of the 30s and 40s.
I don't keep mine in a formal album - everything is in 2X2s. I'll eventually move them into a 3 ring binder for display.
Have fun building your set!

I'm working on the clad '65-'98 quarters myself. I only need a 1969D, then I'll see about working on the silver quarters.
It took me 25 or so rolls to find what I have.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I didn't think there were that many. If you want to see how my set is going so far you can see it here: http://www.collectors-society.com/r...eSetID=55073That's what I have so far. Right now I'm looking to upgrade my 1983/P/D quarters but I haven't found any MS65s that I like (But I did find a nice '83 P from ANACS that has some nice rainbow like target toning). I'll try to get some photos up some, but I've bought most of these recently and haven't gotten around to photographing them.
