If this is the criteria:
VG8 Very Good - Half of lines show in upper wheat heads. F12 Fine - Wheat lines worn but visible. VF20 Very Fine - Cheek and jaw bones worn but separated. No worn spots on wheat heads. EF40 Extremely Fine - Slight wear. All details sharp
Then I'll have to go with VF20

Tpatna, I agree on 20 for an approximate grade. The color worries me. There was a seller on the bay that use to sell the prettiest chocolate brown coins you ever wanted to see. I bought one early on and the color was just too uniform and not quite the right color. Well, the coin cost about 20 bucks so I was not too concerned. After awhile, I decided to put it into acetone and you guessed it, off came the color (or a lot of it anyway). For what it is worth, this coin has a little of the same appearance on the screen.

Hi Tim I'd agree with VF-20, possibly VF-25. I also think the coin has a "cleaned" look due to the color. It just seems a bit dull and smoothed over in a way that's not quite original. Still, it might be tough to find a better example in this grade. It ought to do very well for a circulated date set. Did you get a good price?

The color looks ok to me, I would wait till you get it to decide though, lighting is everything. Jim you can say the name of the seller, Nancy something if I remember right, she still sells on ebay and every time I see one of her listing it makes me cringe. Grade VF-20-F15 as many have already said.

I think it is more of a F-15 than a VF20 since the reverse shows a lot of wheat lines gone. VF20 definition above says no worn spot on wheat heads, and clearly there is wear on the wheat heads, so I couldn't give this a VF20 based on that definition.
