I also like the Teddy .25, but for some reason it reminds me more of a medal than a coin. I don't know why.

Probably because it appears to be in higher relief that you would normally see on a coin, and higher relief than the lettering.

Why did you have to keep transferring it from app to app, and why did that lower resolution?

I'm on a mobile device, so the only way to transfer a picture from app to app is to screenshot it, crop it, and paste it in the other app. Repeat that 20 times and it lowers resolution quite a lot. As for why I was transferring, the photo editing software I used was a bundle of apps, not just a singular program. Also, the optimizer did a number on its quality.

It will not let you save/load to/from the device?

I created this $100 silver certificate with Photoshop about a year ago. The first photo is the design that was never implemented/printed. I took it and made it look like it would if one existed. Unfortunately, I was never able to finish it because I lost all the Photoshop files. This one was a copy I luckily saved halfway through.

I do essentially the same thing. Most everything I post is captured with and edited on my phone. I currently have three different free editing apps:

Photoshop Express - has the primary editing functions such as crop, rotate, exposure, contrast, temperature, etc. It's a really good app.

Sketch - I use this for combining Photoshopped images into a single side-by-side image and adding things like text, drawings and arrows.

Round Photo - exclusively for circle-cropping (or even elliptical cropping)

For images like this, I've used all three:

Photoshop:-Where-Imaginary-Coins-Come-To-Life!

Of course, I also used the CCF optimizer to reduce file size (by nearly 90%) so, I guess it went through four different programs.

I used to use Photodirector for editing but eventually realized it was severely downgrading output image resolution when saved after editing. If I wanted better, I'd have to pay, so I dropped it.

The three apps I use all have their own galleries for saved edits so, I'm not taking screenshots between steps. Sketch has its own in-app gallery so I have to export images to my phone's gallery where I can open them with other apps.

Something's not right if you have to use screenshots between steps to move to another app.

The Franklin Dime was basically a "cut and paste" from a Franklin half (just flipped horizontally and shrunk to fit).

Here, I tweaked it a bit...

Funny thing is that even when he had hair I doubt he would have gone for that style.

For what it is worth, there was also a Frankenike (aka Frankehower) that KurtS made, but that image is now gone and I never bothered to save it locally.

That's odd. I use Photoshop express and can't seem to have it directly saved to my photos. (In the bundle was also Photoshop Mix and photoshop Fix.) (Photoshop mix is where I combine to two images)

@RoyCoinBoy

I created a new topic in the Photography forum to try and figure out your dilemma. I posted the saving process as I see it for PS Express and Mix.
