So, I got some cheapo photoshop app and started to play with it. Here's the end result: A no-star, arrows and rays seated liberty silver dollar! (it got really low resolution because I had to keep transferring it app to app)

Here are the images I worked from:

The final result:

I really want to post something here, but it has to wait until after work.

Already a fun thread.

I flunked CrazyB0's test but I think this is a fake triple stuck or rotating die Buffalo nickel. I watermarked it. Don't want to see it for sale on ebay!

Years back, I wanted to make a point about what could be done to a coin image with very little work, to illustrate the potential for deception that could happen on ebay. I started with this random Morgan from my holdings:

Photoshop:-Where-Imaginary-Coins-Come-To-Life!

Literally ten minutes later, I had the following, downsized slightly to the average size of a "good" ebay picture of the day:

Photoshop:-Where-Imaginary-Coins-Come-To-Life!

That became the Coin Community 404 Page graphic.

Save it in a lossless file format like .bmp or .tiff. Then change the final one to .jpg to minimize the size for downloading.

@nss-52 - I want one of the Franklin dimes! I also like the Teddy .25, but for some reason it reminds me more of a medal than a coin. I don't know why.

I didn't create a fantasy coin but, I've had success in making a coin look much worse than it actually is :

Why did you have to keep transferring it app to app, and why did that reduce the resolution?

I also made this Jefferson nickel with pink hair, but I can not remember why I did it...
Photoshop:-Where-Imaginary-Coins-Come-To-Life!

...it was probably to tease someone I knew that thought they had an mint issued error coin because it had some color on it.
