Earle42 I take my hat off to you. Stunning computer skills also. I enclose 2 more date pics that should hopefully reveal the coins true identity. The question is, it worth 3 dollars or 200...... ;-) I used a flashlight so may have some odd shadows.   |

Well we know it's not a 1915. And for sure not a 1946. I guess that leaves the 1918 as best guess. |

Thanking everyone for teaching me and saving me a lot of money and disappointment. Nss-52 fantastic work on the images.

Btw is it totally normal to want a genuine 1916-D now?
