I found this 2018 LSC that looks like it was struck through debris as it looks like it retained an extra piece of plating at the bottom of bust on obverse, help identifying this one please and thanks in advance for any information

Looks like some type of lamination. Is this crack line peeling up?

Looks like it might be a plating separation.

If it was plating issues wouldn't the lines also be on the raised part?

Excellent pictures! Yep, it's peeling! Plating separation/lamination, it's something. Maybe it's the beginning of zinc rot. Don't mess with it. Put it in a 2x2 flip.

It's not common but not rare either. Good eye, nice find! Others will chime in as to how or why it happens.

Also, it happened during the strike. Planchet flaw?

I wonder if it isn't struck through copper foil.

I was wondering the same thing. That was my opinion when I first looked at the images.

OK why is this not a lamination issue?
1. Lamination happens copper/silver planchets. Not on Zinc planchets.
2. Note while it is a line, when you look under the planchet, you see what color? You see that it is plated under that area. If it were peeling off this coin, then what color would it be? Gray.
So what is this? It is a struck through plating foil from another coin. Otherwise struck through debris. Great images.
