I found this coin CRH and I think it's got extra thickness in Liberty, but it's tough to tell with this date. Is it a DDO, and if so does it have a match? I've tried, and none of the ones already out there seem to match the doubling in mine.

I am not sure, but I'm bumping this because I'd like to see the answer too. It looks like it might have extra thickness similar to WDDO-006, but you say this doesn't match as far as you can tell? Are you seeing anything on IGWT that looks extra thick? Looks to me like maybe In God has some slight distortion to it, but could be my imagination. My initial thought was that this was push doubling that had been flattened down some from circulation. But after comparing yours to attributed listings, the I in Liberty is the intriguing me and makes me lean more towards a DDO.

The I and B look doubled to me, but the doubling on the B mostly doesn't match anything I can find. Maybe I'm wrong? Also, We is the only part of IGWT I can see that there might be any doubling, and I'll try to post a pic of that soon. Thanks for your input!

Looks like DDD at first glance but then I don't see any die flow lines or other devices affected. Not sure on this one.

Thanks for the response CH27. Hoping it's a legit DDO and not DDD, but I'm often wrong.

A majority of the Large Date 1982 cents that I've seen have some extra thickness on LIBERTY. I believe we should take a second look at these 1982 DDOs and consider the possibility of a doubled working hub. Wexler has added a few lately that look extremely similar.

I am currently on the lookout for more '82 large dates for comparison. The two I've found so far both look to have the enlarged I especially.

@coop- I checked the other devices, nothing. Not that I can see at least.
@Tanman2001- Totally agree, I think it might be commoner than we thought.
@Oijogja- Thanks for the pics! Backs up what Tanman said earlier, doubled working hub.

I set aside a handful of 82 Large Dates a while ago to do research and comparison. Never got around to it though.

If we make a thread dedicated to the likely 82 large date doubled working hub, I'd probably be able to add a ton of pics and examples.

I recently went through my 82 large dates and did some comparisons, I think it might be fairly common all the copper examples I have look like this, and I have 2 zinc ones that look similar as well but one actually looks like it might be a doubled die, hope the OP doesn't mind me posting these 2 images of the comparisons I did, Maybe they will help.

Thanks for posting the pictures JohnWayne007, very helpful in determining the cause of the doubling. I'm sticking with doubled working hub. Most examples I come across have this doubling, and I've found tons.
@Tanman- Should I go ahead and start that thread? I'd love to come to a conclusion on the doubled working hub theory.

QuarterHoarder72, no problem at all. I'm glad they are of any use, I think all of the coppers show the extra thickness in the date, motto and Liberty. The zinc 82 large dates I personally think should have a good comparison done, if you look at the first one labelled "A" in the photos I posted all of the letters in Liberty are thicker compared to the second zinc labeled "B" the one you posted also looks somewhat similar to "A" as well, so I would say go ahead with starting the thread as I would be curious to see the outcome.
