According to the description it was listed by Martin who left our company 8 years ago.
That may be so, but it was stated that the price hadn't been changed in all that time. I pointed out 3 changes to the Buy it Now price in the last 4 months.

That's still overpriced. The GSA moniker really means nothing. An AU-58 Morgan is an AU-58 Morgan. But you do get that cool beer chip, though...

That's one way to look at it. Another way is that market value isn't only about the coin. People pay outrageous prices for some coins in sample slabs, older style slabs, coins with original Government packaging, & even bullion coins that are designated as first strike. I don't buy into it myself but that doesn't alter reality.

Sorry, I had initially missed that. I wanted to wait to reply until I had a response from Julian, buttttt as he's said nothing so far I'll respond anyway. The only reason that he may have done that is when silver and gold jumped we have a script that will select all coins made from a specific metal composition and change the prices according to how spot changes. When prices jumped it's likely that either Julian or Alex (our manager) executed the script to adjust the prices of our inventory. As we have tens of thousands of listings it would be near impossible to do by hand. It's very rare we make individual revisions unless there's some form of error brought to light.

The only response that I was given is that the 1884-O GSA Soft Pack is extremely scarce, with very few known. Essentially, the coin isn't rare, GSA soft packs in general aren't that rare, however the combination of date and soft pack is and that's why he was asking a premium.

From a personal perspective I think the premium is too high, however that statement does not reflect the policies of Bonanza Coins/Julian Coin and is not an official statement or message.
