I thought at least the first one cent piece would be released on Lincoln's birthday? Is that right?

That's a bummer about the gold. Do you think they will be minted at all? I hope so I really want one. Hopefully I won't need a loan for it.

Anyone care to guess what the "high-relief" double eagle will be? I'd say around $1100 +/- $50

Yeah, I'm afraid the price will be SHOCKING !!.....
And it will probably be better to buy an original Classic than this new Ultra Modern St. Gaudens.......of course the "original" wouldn't likely be "proof" like the new one !....

But, I REALLY want that piece of gold !!.....of all my gold coins, that one would be the most coveted by far.......that's for sure !....
I'm fully expecting it to be way over priced and therefore unattainable for me.......so my hopes are not high.

I wish the Mint would sell each new Lincoln released in a roll like a P & D set, as they do/did with the State Quarters......but again with the cost in buying from the Mint.....

I saw HSN coin show last night........Ha Ha.....they're sure excited about the new Cents !....they were selling the Lincoln Memorial Sets in Proof for a crazy price.....
And talking about how valuable the 2008 ASE's will be because the Mint "stopped making them" and "supply ran out".....Which isn't exactly a lie of course, but leave it to them to use their salesman procedures on newcommers to put even MORE grossly exaggerated prices on coins.....GOOD GRIEF !.....

I am really going to try to get one of those double eagles, actually I am going to try and get every gold and silver coin that I can next year. If the mint is having trouble getting planchets, that could very possibly mean that they will have trouble meeting demand, which I expect will be high. Thus making a very valuable piece... now if I could only afford 2 of them...

Lincoln Silver Dollar!

I do wish that the Mint would sell Uncirculated Mint Rolls of 2009 Commemorative Cents struck on Bronze planchets, or better yet include the four Proof Cents with the Silver Dollar as a Set (that would just make too much sense, now wouldn't it?! )

(Don't even get me started on that Ultra-High Relief thing!)

You mean you're going to take this mirror proof Silver dollar, buy a bunch of them and put them into "rolls" ...
I couldn't break it out of it's nice little blue velvet case.....unless it was going into an album....
