This is the strongest obverse die clash I've seen on a Wheat cent. I'm sure there's others that are similar. You can even see part of the O from OF on the west side of Lincoln's head. Thanks for looking.

Nice example. Personally, I'm not completely convinced the coin was cleaned--may have been, but it doesn't necessarily scream 'I've been cleaned'.

Your right it doesn't scream cleaned. It could be just a stained plan. It still has luster just dirty looking.

Perhaps there were some grease/oil with slight grit that left the stain on the 'T' area? There is also Machine Doubling from a high bounce on the nose. or a contact mark. Looks like a nose reduction that would be interesting? The original is still better than an aging nose and ear appearance:

Nice clash. I can see several letter in front of Lincoln and under his chin? But what is up with that nose?
