I bought this guy from a local shop for four bucks a couple of months ago, gave it a once over and I am glad I did. I really couldn't believe it at first. Definitely the biggest fish I've caught so far!

For reference, there is a graded F-15 example for sale on Rick Snow's site for $5K.

Wow now that I call a legit specimen; I too check any 1888's for it, they are still out there...
And this is definitely a send-worthy specimen to a TPG!

Wow, congrats! A great find for sure, well worth sending off for grading.

Tough to judge from these pics. LIBERTY looks fairly complete, but the headdress feathers look flat. Reverse wreath and shield also have a decent amount of circulation flattening. Tentative VF20 obverse, F15 reverse.

WOW! A rare find, good thing you gave it a "once over"....can you imagine if you just tossed it in with the other cents.

looks like it a possible VF-20.

Now that's just an amazing find. It's not everyday we see big picks like this one. This is a really expensive coin and should be graded IMO. Looks VF and should be $5K-$6K coin. HUGE congrats! Enjoy your find!

And yours has it!

Very Happy for you!

Please please please don't try and "clean her up" before you send her in!!!

Hope you come back after you get her back and show us the results!
