I have this 1968 d penny with multiple errors on it but I'm new to this so I want to make sure I'm seeing the right things. Can anyone out there help me with some honest feedback because I really need to know if its worth spending money on getting it certified and graded. *** Edited by Staff to clarify topic title. ***

So pretty much all I'm seeing is doubling on the obverse and reverse side. Does anybody see something I'm missing or am I missing the whole picture?

to the CCF Sorry but I can't see anything that would be classed as an error or a doubled die. What you have is known as Machine Doubling, a worthless type of doubling. Certainly not worth spending $50.00 or so getting a coin worth 1 cent graded. Also FYI, a doubled die is not an error, it is a variety.

Looks like minor Machine Doubling, possibly, but also some circulation flattening.

Please show us close-ups of the areas you believe show doubling.

Machine Doubling on on the 1968-1972 cents is very common. No premium for these. So it would be a waste of money to had it slabbed. ($50+) for a coin worth one cent.

Would this be considered a double die on the 1995 and Liberty>>>>>Anything?

. On the 1995 looks like DDD=die deterioration doubling. On your other coin might be MD but really need better photos to help you. Here is a good site to read up on coin errors and varieties: http://www.error-ref.com/John1
( I'm no pro, it's just my humble opinion ) Searched 6.5 +/- Million Cents Since 1971

A closer view of what DDD look like: Note the fields are affected, not the devices. First step in die wear on the single squeeze dies on cents. Second step is the Ridge ring. Third step of polishing off the devices making them smaller and start to disappear. Forth step? Probably retirement. (Still waiting to see if they ever show up)
