Entry once in awhile I'll have a question about some coin so I thought I'd join. This may be a dumb question, but I thought since it is a Connecticut quarter, well maybe anything's possible? Wondering if it got caught in something at the mint or maybe got beat up somewhere else?

I agree it is PMD. How it happened is anyone's guess, but it did not leave the mint like that. John1

Agreed. PMD. Always fun to speculate how but it is what it is. And btw. Welcome to the Forum. You've come to a phenomenal place to Share and Learn.
