Was there clad in S minted 25 cent coins 1969 . If so I learn some new?

James, all of the Washington quarters minted in the US in 1969 were clad. It appears that you have an escaped proof.

All 1969 US quarters were clad, no silver unless it is an error.

Do not loose the time to weight this coin. It is clad coin. The only mixt was 1964 and 1965. 1964 with clad and 1968 silver. In fact was only one press and those errors are stock to day at the Mint. Very few go out and you can count those with one hand fingers.

Your coin has a very minor off.

I looked on ebay saw it comes from a set with s mark . there is copper insides.

Looks like a clad coin to me. It is considered an impaired proof. It has a nasty fingerprint on it also, a spender IMHO.

Impaired proofs are still worth saving . Holder it and just stick it in your miscellaneous box .
