Was going through a roll of SBAs from my mom's coins, and I am pretty sure the first one is a DDO. The second isn't as clear but the way the letters flow together makes me think so. Let me know what you guys think.

the first looks like Die Deterioration, the second might be showing some legit doubled die but I suspect it is Die Deterioration as well

The first one is definitely Die Deterioration,
you can see the flow lines.

I think you're right, after a closer look. What had me fooled was the U and O in the first set of photos—looked like doubling. But the way the letters flow together in some places make it pretty clear. Here are some better pix.

Extreme die wear on these dies. Not a premium, but you might save this coin for a Show and tell Item for a new collector?

CoopHome: What does extreme die wear look like on a SBS dollar coin? the devices will widen and show extreme die wear on these dies. not a premium, but an education for your eyes to remember what they look like.
