Hello All, total coin newb here but found a quarter with an odd impression on Washington's neck and thought I'd see if it is a legitimate error or a nothing-burger. It appears to have been struck-thru something - could be anything like plastic or a piece of metal. It is also possibly just PMD but it doesn't look like your typical dent. |

Yeah, exactly my thoughts. Such a unique/odd impression so I figured I'd leave it up to the trained eyes! Thanks for your response.

to the CCF Perhaps struck through something. Are you able to post an in focus close-up of the depression area?

Leaning towards a struck through but not worth grading. John1 ( I'm no pro, it's just my humble opinion )

I'm thinking struck-through. Looks like a mini pork chop. I wouldn't suggest submitting the coin to a third party grading/authentication service.

Okay so grading only for good condition, not for strike throughs or errors? Any value to something like this or dime-a-dozen? Again, thanks for the insight, folks!
