I've been going on and on lately about unscrupulous sellers on ebay. It's been driving me a little nuts. (A short trip, to be sure...) All these idiots selling phony-baloney UNSEARCHED coins in old-looking SHOTGUN wrappers with a nice looking SEEDED coin on one end, fuzzy pictures, misleading or deceptive descriptions.... Arghh! What, no 'shotgun roll' with a 1913 obverse on one end and then a Type 2 "S" reverse on the other end? (The Nickel 'equivalent' to the ebay 'shotgun roll classic' 1909-S obverse on one end and a "VDB" reverse on the other end, with 48 1940's-50's Wheaties in the space between....) Three cheers for WEERD!  |

Next week I'm going to advertise some EMPTY shotgun rolls on ebay. My description will say something to the effect that these are great investments because if you put your coins in these rolls they will instantly become much more valuable, especially if you put the two best looking coins on each end.... |
