Forgive me, I'm very late to this party. I always thought West Point coins were only minted for collectors, but due to a recent thread, I see now that some were actually minted for circulation.
From what I've read, it looks like "W"-marked quarters were minted for and put into circulation in 2019 and 2020.
Is that accurate? No others since then? And only quarters--no pennies, nickels or dimes? (I'm talking about coins minted for circulation only.)
If so, the natural follow-up question would be, Were the "W"-marked quarters minted for each of the five National Parks for each year: 2019 (Lowell, American, Guam/War in the Pacific, San Antonio Missions, Frank Church) and 2020 (American Samoa National Park, Weir Farm, Salt River Bay, Marsh/Billings/Rockefeller, Tallgrass Prairie)?
I ask because my H. E. Harris folder only has holes for "P" and "D" quarters in those two years. Seems there should be "W" holes as well.
Thanks for your help!

From what I understand, they were a limited release of only 2 million of each scattered around the country.

@jpsned What you have posted and ratmans reply is correct. W mint for circulation only each of the 5 ATB Quarters in 2019 and 2020. Mintage of 2 million each. The 2020 quarters in addition to the 'W' mintmark have a small privy mark to the left of George Washington commemorating 75 years since the end of WWII. They were great fun to search for when new and can still be found (though most likely not BU now). These were salted into the large bags of P and D quarters before distribution to banks (although a good number seem to have not made it to being mixed in). These were not available with any of the USM sets as the cents, nickels, and dimes were and were not available in rolls ordered from the mint. I'm still hoping to come across some new rolls of a couple of the 2020s as with the pandemic it became difficult to get rolls.

@jpsned It could be that your Harris folder doesn't have holes for them as the final decision on them was late in coming. The first, Lowell actually was not available in new Lowell rolls. It came out with the American Memorial Park release. A similar delay (typical government program), in 2020 getting final approval of the privy mark. The American Samoa 'bat' quarters were not released until the Weir Farm Park quarters were.

For each year (2019 and 2020) the mint produced 10,000,000 'W' quarters 2 million of each design. I found quite a few over the years, but I only kept one of each design. Here are mine - I bought a nice 5 quarter felt lined clamshell box to put them into.

Will be interesting to see final mintage figures for the S-mint quarters of 2022 to present, although unlike the circulating W quarters, they will be mostly BU (from mint-wrapped rolls).

Recall there were one-time-only W-mint issuances (NIFC; only in sets) for the 1, 5, and 10 cents, starting with the Roosevelt dime 1996-W.

@halfamind Mintage for 2022 releases 304,800 mintage for 2023 set to be 504,800 all from bu USM rolls. I think they may adjust again in 2024/2025.

Thanks, @smuglr, for the S-mintage numbers. The U.S. Mint is creating a lot of modern "rarities."
