Looked into Bidsafe - seems like a bit of a wank IMHO. From what I see, this is how it works:
1. Seller registers (and presumably pays $$$) to be listed as a Verified BidSafe seller which then allows said seller to apply a unique BidSafe Verified Number to the item description. (Note: From what I can surmise, at no point do BidSafe's "Authentication Specialists" handle or view the physical item. They probably don't even look at the listing!)
2. Seller can then sell item with buyers thinking the item has been independently verified as Authentic by Bidsafe.
3. If the item is not authentic, the buyer is covered by Bidsafe (even though they are already covered by ebay who tends to side with the buyer anyway).
A waste of time and money from what I can see.
