2003 Women's Suffrage $1 Long Vs Short Trident Prong Noodling Results

I visited the numista page for this coin and found they have recently split the coin into 2 varieties: long and short trident prong.

Obviously when they added the "long prong" variety they assigned everyone who'd marked they had this coin as having the "short prong" variety, making it look as if the "long prong" was rare:



I dug out my pile of 2003 suffrage dollar coins to determine the real ratio of long to short prongs in circulation.



The "long prong" variety is on the left and the "short prong" on the right:


Of the 1642 coins I had, 513 had the "long" prong and 1129 had the "short" prong.

That's 32% "long prong" and 68% "short prong"

I also noted the "long prong" has thinner text on the reverse, so another way to tell which variety you have is to simply look at the As.
