1976 Bicentennial Half Dollar Error

It's essential to have it in the title. * Hi All, I will start with an apology about the picture!! I am new to this and just today ordered a coin microscope so I can supply better pictures. I'm also on the road and going through a bunch of pics I took on my phone for me to go through while traveling so I can't go back and retake picture of this coin (or get a pic of the obverse as I know you would like to see that). With that being said, is anyone able to tell me what is going on with the upper portion of this coin? I'm not sure if it was damage or an error with the coin.
