1870 Indian Head penny I found in the reject bin of a nearby Publix coin machine. same machine gave me an 1873 a few months ago.

Excellent! A few years ago, I found an 1885 IHC in change. First time since I began collecting in 1971.

I'm 40 now, but I remember occaisionally finding Indian cents and Buffalo nickels in my lunch money or change in elementary school during the early to mid 90s. I'd save those and the bicentennial quarters. I'm sure I had some silver pass through my hands, but I wouldn't have noticed. I only kept the ones that looked different than "normal"!
