That would be the 7th Silver Eagle for 2025

Market saturation is never good for collectables

2025 will be known as "Year of the Privy", I hope the Mint does not keep doing this every year.

If sales are good and they make money, they'll keep them coming. I can't wait for the tick privy LOL.

When did this privy pop into existence?! Also, why laser beam?

I have been checking the web site daily for pics of the Army/Navy/Corps ASEs and did not see this until Mojojojo posted about it

Zero interest in privy marks, just a money making and gimmick maneuver by the same mint that is now giving us super-hero garbage.

This one has me as little baffled.
It does say West Point, where the past and current privy marked (bullion) ASEs were Philly.
Yet it doesn't say that it's either proof or Uncirculated or something else.
The mint by law can't sell bullion directly to the public, so I doubt it's bullion.
This will be interesting. Note the unusual 4 digit product code.
And what would a laser beam privy look like?

A new die is not needed to mint these. They just grab an ASE and burn whatever "privy" they're hawking. Might as well go straight to late night TV with these.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

In theory. They make dies constantly, my thought is that they probably do have the privy mark made into the die. That's not how it started out being, with someone marking a coin with a punch. But now they probably want the process all done at once. No inconsistencies.

I'm with you on that. Star? Yep. Eagle? Yep
Laser beam? Excuse me? Maybe it'll make sense when we see it or they explain it somehow. I can't even envision what it looks like. Could they actually mean the coin is being branded or "privied" with a laser? Some new cutting edge thing? This is weird.

" One proof from West Point, one proof from San Francisco and one uncirculated from West Point is more than enough. A mint mark over a myriad of privy marks. The next will be a wonder woman privy mark. "
