I'm working on my American Silver Eagle Type 2 collection. Is there any that I'm missing on my list? Since the announcement of the Type 2 variant, I signed up for the yearly subscription from the U.S. Mint. Somehow, there were some that were not part of a subscription and I didn't know about until I read about it on different websites or saw it with being unavailable on the U.S. Mint website... I'm trying to collect all of Type 2 (bullion, proof, uncirculated burnish, privy's, etc.) This is what I have so far, is there any on the list that I am missing? The dates in the "Year" column are either product schedule release dates or the date the U.S. Mint shipped the item from my order history. I tried to list them in release date order. Are there any variants that I am missing? The 2026 enhanced uncirculated burnish and proofs are in my subscriptions so hopefully I'll be able to get them. It took a while to track down all the different releases and the privy's. I'm about to take them all out of the ogp and break the slabs and put them all into a Dansco album. This way I can enjoy looking at them and not just have it tucked away. I'm not trying to keep them pristine to sell for a profit later so I don't mind taking them out and putting them in the album.

The very first line is wrong, that would be the type 1 bullion. IIRC the mint auctioned of the last type 1 and first type 2 ASEs through Stack Bowers, so the date should be easy to find. I thought it was in May 2021.
I can be a bit of a curmudgeon about this next thing, so best with me. You have the 2026 P listed as product code 26RF. That's actually the code for the Congrats Set. You say you are breaking these out of the slabs (I assume you mean the mint capsules), so take the designation doesn't really mean anything if you are taking them out. Nothing else you listed are considered a set, except that Designer Set, 21XJ

I looked into it and read Type 1 was officially retired on April 10, 2021 and Type 2 was struck during the ceremony. So the bullion is still the first in the line to be released, that's good. I checked online and saw the auction for the first Type 2 American Silver Eagle was held in September 2022.
The 2026-P Proof with the Philadelphia Mint mark is only sold in the 2026 congratulations set, with a mintage of 60,000. This is from the U.S. Mint product page.
Some of the American Silver Eagles bullion coins, I'm breaking them out of graded slabs because it was cheaper to buy them in slabs than bare. Some of the proofs and uncirculated burnish I purchased graded in slabs that also came with the ogp that I'm breaking them out of to put in my album.

Can't believe there were 27 distinct ASES from just FIVE YEARS! Oh wait, with 1/3 of them coming in 2025 alone, I guess I can believe that... That's a good list, thanks. Helps me update the 2026 slots in my spreadsheet.

Oh I understand, about the slabs. I've broken a few out myself. If they are 69 grade, it really doesn't seem to affect the price, either. Again I may be just really opinionated about my ASEs. Unapologetically. Just me. Just an observation about the list. On last year's military branch anniversary issues, you might want to list the mint marks on there, as I thought it was pretty cool they used all 3 ASE producing mints to do those, as well as the Laser privy. Not sure if you want to add that to the 2 bullion privy, both were definitely P. Right? I think it was Philly. The Congrats set, that was just my cranky observation, that it's removed from the rest of the OGP and everyone knows where it came from, same as the Designer Edition. It's weird I didn't feel that was about the other proof codes being used. The Congrats set is just a different looking box and COA. I guess I'm just very opinionated about it. Yes I think you do have every issue on the type 2. I'd probably also just change the date on line 1 since type 1 was issued on or about 1/1/2021. The date of the striking ceremony I'd say is the right date. I didn't realize that auction happened that late in the year. I was good for about 3 bids and was out after that, lol. Big money.

Nice List , Thanks for Sharing it.. As noted Hard to believe there have been Almost 30 ASE versions in a 5-year period, For a coin that started out 40 years ago issuing 2-versions Every year, Bullion and the S-Proof. PS, On my 2025 Laser Engraved American Silver Eagle the Product Code reads, 25EAL,

Oops, you're correct, I looked at my box and it's 25EAL, guess I mistyped.
Main thing is trying to find out if I missed any, especially the bullion privy's that I didn't even know about. I only learned about them because I was searching for the release dates on other privy's and somehow those popped up. Since they aren't advertised on the U.S. Mint release schedule, I never knew about them.

Thank you all that looked at it to help me see if there was any that I was missing and find the corrections. I went and updated all the dates to release dates and fixed any errors. Now, I just have to sit down with the label maker to make some labels, break the slabs/open the capsules and put them in the blank Dansco album pages with the correct labels. I can't wait to do this with my kids helping me!

iamwayne, That " List " is Quite an impressive undertaking. Your commitment to collect the Type 2 is going Extremely well, You have Every member of that Cast in Your possession .... May I ask, Why did you decide to Start when You did, No Original design, ( Except THE 1-1-21 dated Bullion on Your list ). No Type 1 Mint marked examples, Thanks Again, MD

Hiya Morgan's Dad, I missed out on the Marines ASE; probably will be a long time before I find one at a price I want to afford. And haven't found a dealer that has the eagle privy bullion in stock, but I'll likely get that one along with the 2026 bullion when I can find them both at one PM dealer.
