I have an old photo of my mother and father posed in front of this stack of silver dollars. New York worlds fair, 1964.

Very interesting!

I am surprised they labeled the truck trailer that way. Different times I guess.

If one tractor trailer rolled into a ditch at highway speed, just think of the potential for road rash...

In the fall of 1962, just after the World's Fair has closed, an ad appeared in a national coin magazine offering actual dollars from this exhibit, in commemorative holders, for $1.95 each. Or, you could purchase up to 5 bags per person for $1500 per bag of 1000.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

I went to the Fair but I missed this display. That is an amazing display and so was the Fair. My brother's band "Charlie and the Tuners" played in the Pavilion and played many of the Beatles' and Stones' hits. Great memories!!!

Fascinating bit of history
When the Millennium Dome opened on January 1, 2000 in London, one of the exhibits was a stack of £1 million in Bank of England £50 notes. They were inside a clear plastic display and there was a doorway so you could walk through them.

I am sure back then they always had Chuck Norris on the lookout somewhere.
