Kennedy Half Dollar Scratch Or Die Crack

coinsrus Valued Member United States 227 Posts	Posted 08/19/2008 11:53 pm Found this coin in the rolls I was searching. Really nice coin, but it seemed to have a scratch on the reverse. I thought the location was odd because higher surfaces didn't have any scratches on them. In fact, I didn't see another scratch on it, really. Also, it seems kind of straight for a scratch. Granted I have NO idea what a die crack looks like. Its late probably just dreaming but interested in others' opinions. Report this Post to the Staff

Is the mark raised or incuse? If raised, I'd say you've got the die crack. Scratches will be incuse. Report this Post to the Staff
