hewart Valued Member United States 157 Posts	Posted 07/05/2022 5:02 pm I'm not sure what I am looking at. The 8 in the date has the appearance of doubling. This might be Machine Doubling but it looks different from other examples I have seen. Sorry for the multiple angles but I wanted to be sure you could see what I was seeing. Lighting can be an issue at times. What do you think ? Report this Post to the Staff

Dearborn Moderator United States 100612 Posts	Posted 07/05/2022 6:57 pm Looks like DDD to me- notice how the 'doubling leads towards the rim. this is caused by the die stretching a little possibly due to metal fatigue and pressure from the press.
