rocky Pillar of the Community Canada 2784 Posts	Posted 03/22/2023 8:17 pm what has been explained to me. the mint is testing a new surface coating. its ugly that is all that can be said about this new surface coating. it makes the coins appear to be rusted so I hope they drop this stuff quickly. it first gives the coins a brass look then it slowly changes. it looks just like your coin.
