I have left 2 messages on ebay signaling this auction as fake coins!
Also, the seller has not responded to my request for more pictures of this 1932 D Washington quarter. Think about it, they sold 10 of these.

To be honest, I don't think ebay really does anything.

People shouldn't be allowed to post fake coins, or stupid coins
for insane prices like 500,000 dollars for a random Susan B Anthony
dollar.

I've tried reporting things like this in the past, and not only does it not do anything
but there is no easy category for the most part for such things in reports.
Highly annoying and frustrating.

Hmmm, the coin itself looks genuine to my eyes unless I am missing the signs the coin is counterfeit? One of the only reasons a person has sold ten with two remaining is the possibility of they had twelve lightly circulated coins that were all submitted to ANACS at the same time from a collection of original coins minted at the Denver facility back in 1932...

To me, I just don't see the common telltale signs this coin is not legitimate. Of course the low pricing does seem rather unusual for such a key date as this coin.

The listing picture may be legitimate, but what the buyer receives will not be. ANACS certification lookup of 5268960 shows that it is a 1932-D Washington quarter AU-58, but there is no image of it.

Only an ID10T would fall for that scam. But it's ebay.

Could the fact that it is coming from Hong Kong be another red flag?

In one of the feedback comments to this seller's profile, the buyer says the coin did not come in an ANACS holder.
What gets me is that 10 buyers bought this coin, maybe to fill a hole that is too expensive for them.

Well, I guess I'm an ID10T.
No, I didn't buy one. But if I were looking at this ad, the only red flag I'd see is the item's location. That's why, if I were considering it, I'd run it by you folks on CCF, first. And then probably get raked for not seeing the "obvious".

I have bought fake things before on ebay, but ebay is always very understanding if a coin turns out to be fake. I have always been able to get a refund for any fake coins I have purchased
