My camera doesn't want to show up super clear so if you have a question ill answer and describe best I can.

I got this coin when I was a kid. Mom got it from the bank, and told me to hold on to it. The back is missing. It is reeded so it's bowl shaped. Well here's the pics.

I believe its a Magicians coin, in which the two halves are machined together to create a doubled head coin or something like that.,
Yours appears to be missing one side. Not really worth anything, but is still cool.

I have one like that but I also have the back. I always figured it was a spy coin - ya know...to hide microfilm. But that is only if the date is sometime before 1970.

It is real, in the sense that it's made from a real coin. They machine out the inside to create a compartment, then make a matching back from another coin. Roll hunters find half-dollar versions now and then. I found a two-headed nickel that's similar.

At the very least, they're conversation pieces. Could you spend them for 12 1/2 cents?

Yeah, it's a novelty piece. But since your mother gave it, could have sentimental value for you as well.

Looks like part of a Magicians coin?

I also have a double headed coin. It is made the same way but so far it hasn't come apart. I found it in the wild and I assume it was made to win bets.
