the link stated: "Our floor is made up of over 340,000 pennies...all laid by hand. We were able to accomplish this Herculean task with very cheap labor from our friends and family. It only cost us pizza, beer and part of our sanity."

Not to mention the $3400 spent on pennies!

Did I read the page right...the oldest cent was a 1908! Aren't those valuable? And just think, I bet they didn't think to look for WAMs or heaven forbid if there is a 92 CAM...yikes

For wear resistance and weight considerations I'd have to go with titanium.
I like these titanium reds but then again I would.

I like that they laid some blue crusty ones. Adds that "copper taste"

@coinsearcher: they had to have one There's some dimes in the mix too as excepted with cent rolls.

I'm impressed, until something spills on the floor. That will be hard to clean up. Unless perhaps they're going to laminate them or something.

I like it. And as a bonus if you ever run into hard times you can spend the floor.

Rest in Peace

#3400 is a bit pricey for a floor.
