I have ordered the DVD of the world coin catalogue. I am hoping to be able to build an application that will parse through the book and extract all coins for my year. Should be easy! Next week when I have a spare couple of hours I am going to the coin store and sift through the crud box that they have. Ironically I have to try and save some money just now :-)

I got more 1968 coins from another member: France, Bailiwick of Guernsey, another from Italy, Bailiwick of Jersey, Netherlands, another from Vietnam.
With those additions, I currently have 54 coins of the year 1968 from 38 different countries.

Couple of spare hours! What a laugh. This is the first time I have managed to sit down really in the last two weeks, and I have fish in the oven for ten people upstairs! Arggghhh...... have not managed to post secret santa yet, but have the coins ready for a trip to the post office :-)
Got some coins today in the post and need to start putting them in order.
Happy New Year everybody :-)

Hi, I just completed a listing of my birth year for 1964. I got my information from the Standard Catalog of World coins. Took awhile, didn't think to search the DVD. Also the book doesn't list the Marshall Islands entries, they're only on the DVD. I didn't realize there were so many coins minted in 1964. Over 400 different coins in 86 countries. Not including Essais Provas and Patterns.
