In a small collection was a 1964 Dell Purse Book on coins, with guaranteed buy prices from Stacks. I plan to list a coin a day. If you want, feel free to make requests.

Today's coin:

1877 IHC $45 G $100 F

Thanks. If only I had been born five years earlier. And knew what I was doing.

I don't believe the 1916 doubled die buffalo was known in 1964. It isn't listed in the 1965 coin dealer newsletter. (It doesn't show up in CDN until 1976 at $60 in VG and $150 inf Fine.) The 37-D 3 legged was listed at $30 in Good and $45 in Fine

Kind of fun looking at really old coin books. I've got all the Red Books from the first to present. I occationally look up a coin from a 1st or 4th or 10th edition just to see how much they've gone up. Prices in that 1st edition, 1947, are rather on the funny side.
Rest in Peace

1909-S VDB LWC will be next when I can find my desk. Feel free to guess or request in the meanwhile.
