Hello,

I downloaded the head side of dime again. I was told it could not be viewed. So I hope this time it can be viewed the head pic has the most visual error.

Hmmm...the reverse looked normal but, I am not really an expert on mint errors. If I had to guess, I would say PMD. Lets wait for some more opinions.

The only thing I see on the reverse is on the top left corner. It has a wider rim, like it was stamped slightly off center. I appreciate even a guess.

It kinda looks like it went a few rounds with a disc sander.

Welcome to the forum. This is PMD and not an error. It was damaged outside of the mint. Sorry.

Thank you all. I guess that is why I could not find an error coin like it.

I believe it's the result of a coin rolling machine going haywire (damage). I have one that is very similar.

The mystery solved by capitanfwiffo. Thank you so so much. Finally an end to this dime. Was more interested in what made this damage than the value. Thanks again Capitanfwiffo and to everyone else that replied.
Rest in Peace

It's kind of freaky seeing two such similarly damaged coins. Thank goodness the explanation was there.

Boocoin, I am like you in that when I see a damaged coin I want to know the cause. It seems more interesting than what it could be worth and I have started a little file of my errors and damaged coins with the accompanying explanations. Odd collection, I know, but that's what I am curious about (this month).
