I don't think it makes AU at all but hey, great coin to own. Maybe XF40 for me at best. Probably VF35.

Pretty extensive wear on all the high points and obvious friction in the fields. You don't often see Saints with this much wear; most seem to be at least low-end AU. Your coin is probably EF-40 maybe 45. Color is nice and there aren't as many contact marks as you would expect given the level of wear.

Just a circulated, common-date coin with value determined by the gold spot price. Still a nice asset to own and the old envelope is way cool. I remember when $20 pieces were offered in the "Stamp and Coin Corner" section of the Los Angeles Times for $49.99. I badgered my Dad about buying some and he finally did pick up 10, but not until the price had escalated to $59.99. Still an OK investment!

Not sure how anyone could ever call that UNC, but nonetheless it's still a great coin and I wish they were still $48.50!

Looking back, he really didn't say this was Unc. He just said Catalogue Value in Unc was $70.00

Very nice coin, Love the holder, I have an old bank envelope from my grandfather back in 1960's.
