What do you all see,is it extra thick and rounded looking? I have found a few of these over the years and always wondered what it is,maybe a DDR? Thanks for your input,John1

OOPS, DDR would be the correct term. There is possible extra thickness and as such, it may be a doubled die reverse. I would suggest sending it to Coppercoins or John Wexler for their opinion.

The 1989 year started with larger letters. That is normal for this year. Compare to other examples from the same year. The coin looks like it was struck with a fresh die. Thus the nice devices.
