Any info on PCI toned coins appreciated. I have '91 and have an offer of 150 does this seem fair? What bring max value on a toned coin?

Something seems fishy about this coin. Label says 100% white?

Yea I'm not a big collector and was curious about that too. I bought it at a local coin shop which is reputable. I was told these PCI cases cause the toning?

i do believe that this is artifical toning, which brings the value down to melt, so be honest with the guy if it does turn out to be AT

Thats not good news. I def. wont do anybody wrong. How do you determine in fact it is artificial?

That is quite possible and I have suspected the same thing myself. I have not dealt with too many SAEs in PCI slabs but I have seen a few with very similar target toning. I own a 1999 in the beginning stages of toning, the rim is graced with brilliant yellow and orange. Incidentally, mine is also graded MS67 and listed as 100% White but your toning is MUCH NICER than mine $150 represents a 4x premium, if you have someone offering that much then take it as you will probably never do any better than that. As far as the value of toning, multiple colors in a target pattern tends to bring the highest premiums and that is exactly what you have there, a round palette of pastels.

Unusual toning looks neat, however.

Considering PCI said it was 100% white when it was slabbed, and that it has been in that slab since 1993 at the latest (from the slab generation) it is not very likely to be AT. Now you crack it out it might be difficult to convince some people though.
