So I decided to open my box of 5 sets and I open the first set and I am like well all the coins are out of the slots. This-Is-How-My-Sets-Arrived
well this is odd I think to myself. then I open the second set and behold not only is the coin out of the slot but its out of the plastic holder.
This-Is-How-My-Sets-Arrived

Now I am really thinking what sorry packaging. Then I go to open the 3rd box and they are all out of the slots. On tthe 4th box I finally got one that all the coins were still in the holders. I get to the 5th box and behold another one out of the plastic holder
This-Is-How-My-Sets-Arrived

Should I be on the phone with the mint tomorrow? or should I just say the heck with it? I would think this is unacceptable packaging but I know there not going to do anything about it.

Cheap help.....low pay = low quality.
Little supervision = sloppy work gone unnoticed.
Immigrant workers aren't the answer to all employer solutions.
It's harder to get fired from a government job, compared to a civilian job.
Not enough employees for the work load to be handled properly, but it saves cost.
Complaints and returned products do not reach the highest levels.
Mass production has a guaranteed percentage of flaws/problems which are accepted by the "higher-ups".

This was probably a UPS issue not the Mint. I am sure you could send them back but there is no replacement option I am sure.

Were the coins damaged in any way or do they all look fine? If they're fine, I'd bite my tongue and forget about it. As unholyroller said, there isn't a replacement option.

I opened my lone set and only 1 coin was out of place, thankfully just a "common" one. It's either the mint didn't care to fully push the coins in the slot (seems secure enough after I did) or the UPS employees still get a kick out of reinacting Ace Ventura...

Hope the ones out of the plastic rounds weren't damaged Spencer.

I'm afraid you are stuck with them as is, unless you want to return them and do totally without. As previously stated, I doubt there is any replacement inventory.

I would just be happy to have them but I understand your displeasure/anger/frustration/....

I would still lodge a complaint with the mint, even if most feel it won't get you replacements; at least it will be on the record as another complaint of poor service, and might contribute to future improvements. One can hope

I've opened one of the 3 of the sets I got and there was one coin (the right-most) that was out of its holder, but still in the capsule. Coin seems fine since it stayed in the capsule but still.

That's pretty sad. I package the useless stuff that I sell on ebay better than that.
