Does this coin have surface hairlines? If so, where?

I see a small patch at the point of the beard but there may be others no so easily seen. Hairlines can be tough to pick out in a photo because viewing them is light and angle-dependent, you really need to have the coin in-hand to get the full story on a coin with hairlines.

Does the slab state hairlines?
All I see are die flow lines and a pretty strong clash.

My guess would be you had this slabbed and it came back as details/cleaned?

I dont' see any hairlines, but it may have been dipped previously and retoned. To me, the toning is reminiscent of an old cleaning.

It has surface hairlines on the slab but no cleaning mentioned.

This is not my coin but I saw this coin at an auction and did not notice any surface hairlines. So wanted to make sure I was not missing anything. Like DVCollector, I noticed just toning and a weak strike.

Interesting point! A slab may be scratched, so that is shows up as hairlines on the coin.

It is also worth remembering that a coin when examined in hand allows hairline scratches to show up, because of the movement of light relative to the scratches.
