Gene, I am thrilled for you, after the contributions you give to us all about this topic only makes me feel you deserve this even more. People talk about a first discovery and the amount of discoveries they have and I always feel it is amazing just to be able to recognize "something not seen before" and send it in ONLY to find your keen eye was right, I am amazed at those, including you now, who have the dedication, knowledge, and patience to follow through on being told you have a WINNER, I applaud your constant help you give others and wish you well, Congrats on your discovery coin, Be Well, Mike....

Do they name these guys after the inventors?
Something like Alladinus Lampus?

Congrats, the first discovery is always special. Quote: Do they name these guys after the inventors?
Something like Alladinus Lampus? To be honest I am not sure how certain VAM's get their names. For example the Bearded Lady and such but as far as I know they are not "named" after the person that discovered the VAM and LVA just assigns a number to the new discovery no name attached to it, so that is a good question on how these certain VAM's actually get their "name"
