Just wanted to take this moment during the holiday season to thank everyone on the forum for making my first six months of roll hunting so enjoyable. All the insight and advice has been greatly appreciated. In a small token of appreciation I wanted to share with you my newest area of collecting, Kennedy half Proofs from circulation, enjoy...

It's fun to find the proof coins in rolls. I've found most of mine that way, but some are REALLY scratched up.
Unfortunately, I haven't found any of the Silver proofs.

I roll search Kennedy's too and I am always pumped when I score a proof.
I would prefer some 90% but proofs always get me excited. Good job and keep up the
good work.

I would love to search Kennedys. The banks in my area don't even carry Kennedy rolls.

I'm a novice to half dollar collecting. How do you know what is worth keeping of the Kennedy halves?

Any with a 's' mint mark is worth keeping. Also, 1964 - 1970 have silver content.

Isn't it fun to find coins rather than just buy them?

I always love finding coins in the wild. I now search all my change! My friends look at me weird when I turn coins over to check dates/rims. But other people look at me even weirder when I pay for stuff using some half dollars and dollar coins
